Here we see Robert Hodgin pusing the limits with the new device Leap Motion, a tiny motion controller that detects the volume of a human hand and maps individual fingers and the hand to an inverse kinematic rig of a hand skeleton.

Quantic Dream’s “Kara” PS3 Tech Demo TRUE-HD QUALITY – YouTube.
Quantic Dream is working overtime to produce some of the most evocative video game experiences by capturing the performances of exceptional actors and mapping this to realistic looking models and animation systems. In their latest tech demo, QD has gone above and beyond with Kara, a short story about an android being “born” into the world and being prepared for the commercial market. I must say, I was ratcheted to the performance and felt sorry for the droid as she plees for her “life”. If QD is trying to make digital performance as compelling as film, they are almost there. Don’t be confused, this is not a game, but a short technology demo meant to show what their motion capture studios are capable of. I can’t wait to see what Quantic Dream offers us on the next gen PS4 and 720 hardware.
